Mediterranean Achievers Blog Hop - October 2015

Welcome to the Mediterranean Achievers Blog Hop! This is the first month that we have moved to the new banner as we have now become global and will all be earning the same trips at the same time .. How Exciting!

You may be just starting here at my blog Nicole Bonar - or you may have already come from the person previous to me. There is a list at the end of the page so that you don't get lost just make sure you remember where you are so you know where to hop to next!

This month our theme is to be Inspired by Project Life. I came up with my design at the last minute in the very wee hours of this morning .. talk about cutting it fine!

The project life Kit I used for my card was Lets Get Away after flicking through the cards I quickly chose the abstract looking background, I thought this would be a good focal point, the lined card with the splatter a bit like Gorgeous Grunge seemed to come next, the sentiment comes from the stamp set Groovy Love, Finally I finished off with a silver glimmer itty bitty heart and some stapled twisted bakers twine.

Stampin' Up! have a great collection of Project Life from Baby to Christmas to Travel & beyond there is sure to be a collection to suit your next project.

Thanks for joining me today - don't forget there is plenty more to hop around - you don't want to miss any .. I would love to know you have stopped by so please feel free to leave a comment.

The discussion with my customer revealed a black and silver theme.

Here is my card ..

Congratulations to the Happy Couple

There is 3 layers sitting on top of the Black card base, Silver Foil, Basic Black & Whisper White. The flourish is stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink and is from Flowering Flourishes, the flower is made up from 3
co-ordinating flowers.  A bit of bling and ribbon finishes this card off just nicely.

Happy Birthday to You

Hi Everyone
It’s that time of year when our family goes into Birthday overdrive ..
4 birthdays in succession quickly followed by yep you guessed it
CHRISTMAS!

My card today is my Daughter’s Birthday Card .. another year another birthday it only seems like yesterday we were celebrating her 1st Birthday let alone her 19th.

Now I will apologise in advance as much as I love my Stampin’ Up! the “19” is not SU and the black polka dots is now sadly retired (Irresistibly Yours Wax Resist) never fear there is a suitable alternative black polka dot in the
"Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack".

The stamped image is the flourish from "Everything Eleanor" …. I used my trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig to line it all up and stamped it twice in opposite corners I then used clear embossing powder to get the glossy finish.

I hope you enjoyed viewing my card today as much as I did making it.

"Remember to Give Thanks"

My card comes from the stamp set Kinda Eclectic it is one of my favourite sets and I feel kindness and giving thanks go hand in hand.  I have inked up one side of the Honeycomb TIEF and placed the cardstock inside and gently rubbed it to get the background impression without actually embossing it, the sunburst rays are peaking out from just under the
Deco Labels Framelits.

I have also used the new Silver Cording Trim to finish off it really curls nicely with the blade of your scissors or bone folder.  The colour palette is shown below.
